One-Page vs Two-Page Resume: Which One Should You Use?

Resume length depends more on relevance than strict rules, but there are useful guidelines.

When One Page Is Best

  • Freshers and early-career professionals (< 7–8 years).
  • Candidates with focused experience in one domain.

When Two Pages Are Reasonable

  • Senior roles, managers, and specialists.
  • People with multiple relevant projects, publications, or complex experience.

Never Add Pages Just to Add Content

If you can’t justify the second page with relevant, well-written content, it’s better to stay on one.
